Requirements For Voter Identification

LOCAL JURISDICTION:
Summer Village of White Sands, Province of Alberta
Notice is hereby given that an election will be held for the filling of the following offices:
Councillor - Three Positions
An Advance Vote Opportunity will take place
Saturday, July 24, 2021 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Election Day Voting will take place
Saturday, July 31, 2021 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Voting Stations will be located at the Community Hall, 8 Front Street, White Sands
In order to vote, you must produce identification for inspection as required by Section 53
of the Local Authorities Election Act. See requirements below.

Elector Eligibility to Vote
A person is eligible to vote in accordance with
Sections 112(b) and 47 of the Local Authorities Election Act:
- is at least 18 years of age, a Canadian Citizen and is named on a certificate of title as the
person who owns property within the summer village; or
- is at least 18 years of age, a Canadian citizen and is the spouse or adult interdependent
partner of a person who owns property within the summer village.

Voter Identification
Identification will be required in order to vote in accordance with
Section 53 of the Local Authorities Election Act:
 - identification must be one or more of an Alberta driver's license or a document that has
your name and Summer Village address on it (utility bill or tax notice)
